Located in the heart of Leicester’s Cultural Quarter, Studio 79 is a full-time dance college by day and a hub for dance and fitness activities by night.

Surrounded by creative industries like Phoenix Arts and Curve Theatre, Studio 79 boasts the largest studio space available in the city, and endeavors to offer the highest level of dance training possible; whether it be on one of our full-time dance courses, at a workshop/masterclass, during an open class in the evening or at the weekly saturday youth classes, Studio 79 is commited to helping you stand out from the crowd.

With the ethos of providing 'stage school' training without the high costs, our full-time dance courses, focus on the principles required tofurther yourself in the performing arts business and pursue a career as a professional dancer, such as Contemporary, Commercial, Hip-Hop, Tap, Ballet, Cabaret, Jazz and Musical Theatre. Previous graduates from the college have gone on to achieve jobs working for various cruise lines, holiday resorts like Disney Land Paris, various film & TV work, Music Video, or further their training by progressing on to complete a Degree.

The college is validated by Regent College Leicester and New College Stamford, along with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and British Theatre Dance Association (BTDA).

During the evenings, Studio 79 opens its doors to the public, hosting a variety ofdance and fitness classes not readily available in Leicester. A full timetable of evening classes along with studio hire information is available by clicking on the other pages at the top.

The building hosts 3 fully functioning studios with changing rooms, along with modern day amenities such as kitchen access, classroom spaces, a common room, radio / recording studio and a car park.
