Cabaret Night 7
17th March 2025
Welcome to the 7th Musical Theatre Cabaret Night. Thank you for being here and showing your support for the students tonight. Our regular Cabaret Nights offer a high-pressured opportunity for students to perform and practise possible intended audition songs for a live audience. Tonight, our current 1st year musical theatre students will have their first experiences of performing solo songs that may serve them in the future as audition songs for their college auditions next year.
The Cabaret Nights are an essential part of training to be a musical theatre performer and bringing together or isolating the three disciplines of acting, singing and movement. These opportunities are something that Studio 79 believes in: experience is education. And it’s this commitment to developing the triple threat that ensures the success of our students.
Success is at the heart of Studio 79 we continue to be proud of our 100% success rate. Studio 79 is a school with a high amount of contact hours; ensuring the students get the very best opportunities to develop and progress in all areas of acting, singing and dancing. We aim to produce triple threat students and we are thrilled that so many of the 2nd year students are gaining places at some of the top performing arts colleges nationally and even internationally!
The BTEC is fully funded and gives the students opportunities to experience a variety of different disciplines from the excellent staff here at Studio 79. Students are encouraged to be creative in their responses to both theory and practical based assessments. Units of work ensure that they can work independently and as part of a group. Lessons will often be workshop and masterclass in style; students performing for each other and learning from the teaching they receive or observe. This preparation is paramount in ensuring our students are successful.
Thank you to all the staff who have supported in making tonight a success and thank you once again to Scenic Arts for accommodating so wonderfully.
We’re very grateful for your support; thank you for being here tonight and we hope you enjoyed the performances and please feel free to come ask any questions afterwards.
